I was born in Bangor, Maine on May 18th, 1969. My father flew F-4 Phantoms for the military and we moved to Hawaii when I was 6 years old. I graduated from J. B. Castle high school in 1987. I cut out my first drawing in metal in 1995, in order to include drawing into my senior thesis show. I received my Bachelors degree in Fine Art with an emphasis in metal sculpture from the University of Idaho in 1996. After graduation I went to work for the Maiden Foundry in Sandy , Oregon. While there, I produced bronze sculptures for a wide variety of artists from around the world. In 2000 I moved into a decommissioned fire station and started producing my drawings in metal. In 2004, I purchased a home with a studio space in Sandy, Oregon, where I continue to work and live.
